The Story

9 YEARS OF HELPING BRIDES IN HISTORIC DOWNTOWN WARRENSBURG, MO

“I remember each and every bride. Each girl is so special and deserves an experience as unique and one-of-a-kind as she is.” - Rachel M.

RACHEL, OWNER

Since I was a girl, this store has been my dream. I doodled, planned and practiced. I attended fashion school while I worked in the field. Those years of preparation before opening ‘my perfect’ shop, I worked for multiple, locally-owned companies to learn the customer service and experience that only small businesses can offer. The most important lesson I learned from those business owners was that for customers to be willing to shop local, vs. online or “big-box, ” you MUST make it worth it for them. You must offer something different – AMAZING service. And that is exactly the focus of Ivory & Lace. As I started the process of opening my store, I knew it was a must that vintage gowns would have a place on the rack. Years ago, I had told my mother my idea of re-designing vintage dresses. We both share a love for vintage clothing and construction. My mother, being the amazing seamstress that she is,  immediately began helping me curate a collection of hand pieced vintage gowns. Together Ivory & Lace has proudly collected, restored, renovated and re-designed over 100 vintage gowns.

“I couldn’t stay away from my favorite place in the world. I cannot wait to help our brides find the gown of their dreams” -Maggie B.

Like Rachel, Maggie has always had a love for all things bridal. While attending Fashion School, Maggie was given the opportunity to intern for Ivory & Lace when we first opened our doors. Soon, Maggie began working for I&L throughout her college career. She left us for a couple of years but she is back now! We love that Maggie has been with us since the beginning and we know that she will treat every I&L bride just as Rachel would.
